Chapter Two: From Love to Unhealthy Obsession

Ned groaned as he began to awake as a throbbing pain pushed on the inside of his head.  What happened?  The last thing he remembered was hearing footsteps before everything went black.  Did someone attack him?
Yawning, Ned sat up, trying to get his bearings.  Everything seemed different but his vision was somewhat blurry.  However, he could makeout the outline of a mirror.  Approaching it, he saw his reflection and was perplexed.
Someone had changed his clothes.
He was no longer wearing his normal every day garb.  He had been given a purple, satin robe with golden trimming and looking down, he saw slippers of gold adorned his feet.  Okay, now he was starting to get worried.
Someone had gone through a lot of trouble to bring him here.  Well, where ever here was.
“Hello?” Ned called out.  No reply.  “Is anyone there?”
The silence was making him worry.  Something about this was not good.  Now that his vision was clearer, he saw the room was rather cozy with a warm fire in the fireplace.  There was a large double bed with fancy, silk pillows.  There was also a small metal table in the middle of the room with a bowl of fruit along with some purple, scented candles.
If Ned didn’t know any better, he would say that someone was trying to make this place romantic.
Suddenly, he heard a knock.  He turned around and saw a door.
“Sir, may I come in?” A voice asked.
“Um---sure.” Ned replied.
The door opened and there, standing in the doorway was a small Who girl wearing a frilly pale blue maid’s outfit.  She pulled in a golden food cart behind her that was much bigger than she was but she managed to move it anyways.  Ned could only stare in confusion.
“My mistress hopes you are up for dinner sir,” The girl spoke in a formal tone.  “If you need anything, please ring this little bell on your tray.”
“Who are you?” Ned asked, ignoring most of her little speech.
“I’m your personal servant sir,” Came the reply.  “My name is Amethyst-May but you way call me whatever you like.”
“Well, I think for now I’ll just call you May, is that alright?” Ned got down on his knees, eye level with the young Who.
“Whatever please you sir.”
“Good.  Now, May, could you please tell me where I am?”
“You are in my mistress’ home.  She had brought you here to keep you safe and care for you until you both die.”
……
That was not the answer Ned had wanted to hear.
“Who is you’re mistress?”
“That, my darling, would be me.”
From the doorway, another figure appeared.  The young Who turned to face the shadowy figure and Ned stood up, ready to see who this strange mistress was.  She entered the room, turning on the over head lights.
It was another female Who except she was older and much more endowed in certain areas that Amethyst-May had yet to develop.  Her fur was a deep, chocolate brown and it was brought out by the sparkling, red dress she was wearing.
Ned felt a lump in his throat begin to form as the Who entered.
“Finally, I have you all to myself.” She grinned.
“What are you talking about?” Ned’s voice quavered.  “Where am I and what do you want?”
“What do I want?” The female repeated.  “That’s easy.  All I want, is you.”
“Oh, well that is completely understandable! I—“ Ned paused.  “WHAT?”
“I love you Ned.  I love you more than anything in this world,” the Who was in his face now.  “No one loves you more than I do.”
“Um, that’s rather nice but I think I should leave!” Ned turned around, ready to run when Amethyst-May tripped him. “AUGH!”
“Sorry sir.  Mistress’ orders.” She replied.
“You, out!” The small Who obeyed and left, leaving the two. “I’m Lady Guess, you’re soul mate.”
“I already have a Soul mate!  Her name happens to be Sally.” Ned stood up.   “Besides, isn’t that your daughter?”
“No, I kidnapped her.” Guess replied.
“Oh, that make sense I gu---YOU WHAT?”
Guess sighed.  “You’re voice is so manly.”
Ned blushed at this random comment but he quickly regained himself.
“You kidnapped that little girl?” Ned pointed in the direction of Amethyst-May.  “Where are her parents?”
“Does it matter?”
“Yes!” Ned was getting exasperated.  “As mayor, I have to find that little girl’s parents!”
“Manly and responsible!  No wonder I love you.” Guess caressed his cheek.
“Now Miss!” Ned grabbed her hand.  “I’m going to have insist that you don’t such a thing.”
“If you don’t like me, then why are you holding my hand?” Guess asked.
Aw crud.
Ned let go, his face redder than her dress.  Guess merely giggled to herself.  She was enjoying this all too much, Ned could tell that much.  He had to find a way out of here!  This Who had to be insane!  Why on earth would someone kidnap him?  Well, that was a dumb question.  He was the mayor!  People would kidnap and hold him ransom but not this Guess woman.
“Since its late, you need to get some rest before we get more acquainted,” Guess blew him a kiss.  “I’ll be waiting for you downstairs in the morning. Breakfast is at eight o’clock.  Amy dear, come in and help your new master.”
“Yes miss.”
Guess had left, leaving the two alone.  Amethyst-May took a golden plate off the cart and handed it to Ned who took it.
“We have many foods that might strike your fancy sir,” She lifted one of the covers.  “What would you like?”
“Amy, could you come here for a second?” Ned set the plate down and the Who child obeyed his request.  “Sweetie, where are your parents?”
“I don’t know sir.  What are they?”
Did this child just have to make everything more complicated for him?
“You know what, never mind.  We’ll work on that later,” Ned patted her head.  “For now, I think I’ll just lie down.”
“Alright sir.  I’ll be here if you need anything.”
Finally, Lady Guess makes her apperance! Guess belongs to :iconjstewartsintern:.
