Let's talk about beauty and health.

Now before we start, I think there is nothing wrong with being skinny. I have a problem with sending yourself to an early grave by starving yourself and working out until you pass out.

I've noticed that our media tends to focus solely on the skinny people when they're advertising beauty. Yeah Gwen Stefani and Angelia Jolie are some choice pieces of meat, don't get me wrong but we don't we see Oprah advertising or Christy Allie? That seems unfair because both of those women are extremely beautiful.

I get bothered that people have been brain washed that only skinny women are beautiful or have value. Why can't curvy women be beautiful too? Can't we have balance here? A long time ago, it was considered beautiful to be thicker because it symbolized wealth. Now people think you're nothing if you have a bit of chub.

I'm not saying that women need to be overly obese or anything.  I just think that we, as a society, tend to be a bit judgmental towards those women who have more meat on their bones. In the words of Peter Griffin, "Fat men aren't fat. Only fat women are fat."

Believe it or not, that drunkard has a point.
If a man is fat, people don't seem to care. But if a woman is fat, all hell breaks loose! Why is that? Again, nothing wrong with pudgy dudes but why do we give them a free pass? I think we have to be fair to both sexes by giving those who are thicker more love!

For those of you don't know, I love sweet things. Cake, cupcakes, cookies, pies, candy; I'm a sugar fiend. So as you can imagine, I have trouble sometimes denying my cravings and I end up adding some pounds. But instead of starving myself to the point where I throw up, I just try to do better. I use cook books with low fat just tasty recipes, I eat more fruits and I also try to shop at stores like Whole Foods and the like.  Still, I'll embrace my chubby, little belly if it appears. Why? Because it's a part of me! My boyfriend has fallen in love with my thickness; my belly gets kisses!

Believe it or not, there are some people who want curves. A watch a show called 'How Do I Look?' where women who have zero fashion sense and their friends help them. Yeah, I know it sounds like I'm being two faced but here's the thing; the clothing these ladies were does not flatter them at all. It's either too tight or too big!

There is one episode I found interesting where this beautiful girl tried to look curvier by wearing tutus. Instead of gaining curves, she looked like a circus was missing a clown. I felt flattered that she wanted some curves like me but she had a nice body and was beautiful.  She didn't need to change; she was perfect just the way she was.

I just wish more women would realize that being healthy is awesome but at the same time there needs to be a healthy medium. They also need to look at themselves in the mirror and see that beautiful person there. As a Christian, I believe that God created everyone in his own image. God does not make mistakes; he creates pieces of beautiful artwork.

So what I'm trying to say is this.  Ladies and gentlemen, love yourself okay? Love the skin your in but remember to be healthy.  I think it's important that we embrace the things that make us sexy and adorable. And if there is something you want to get rid of, work on it.  Just don't make yourself sick or I'll have to kick your asses.
It's been a while huh?

I've been meaning to post this for a while. I seem to have a lot of stuff I like to rant about huh? And I'm glad that a lot of people enjoyed the yaoi rant. I was afraid I was going to get attacked.

This is great. I totally agree. But I get kind of irritated by those stamps that people make saying "Real women have curves" cause it's not true - sometimes you can't have curves but it doesn't make you any less of a woman.

I've recently started turning the tables on guys. Judging men the way that they judge women - basically by their looks ^^; It makes the guys feel the guilt they need to feel over objectifying women. I whistle at them, don't really listen when they talk and stare at their crotches. It's kind of awesome making them feel bad about their shabby appearance. I mean, they don't work on it nearly as much as women do. We nearly kill ourselves so they'll notice us but they can be just as fat and unkempt as they want to be and still expect to get a date. Every male in the animal kingdom has to be better looking, stronger and just plain better for females to notice them - why don't human guys fall under than rule? From now on, they had better be smart, gorgeous and have a fantastic body to be able to talk to me - it's only fair.
